An entry visa is an authorisation issued by the Republic of Cyprus to some third country nationals for a short stay (up to 90 days within any 180-day period) or for transit purposes.
Currently, visas and residence permits issued by the Republic of Cyprus have only national validity (for Cyprus), while after full integration into the Schengen aquis, the visas and residence permits issued by the Republic of Cyprus will give the right to free movement up to 90 days within any 180-day period also in the rest of the Schengen area.
Family members of Cypriot nationals and other EU national who hold a residence card and their travel document may travel in the Schengen area for up to 90 days within any 180-day period.
