Team Cyprus Embassy and Friends is coming together once again, for the fourth year running after the launch of the initiative in 2022, to take on the Björn Borg Helsinki Marathon 2025 that takes place on Saturday, 23 August. You may follow the team's news and preparations as we get closer to August on the Embassy’s social media channels (X and FB), looking out for the hashtag #RunWithCyprus.
This year we aspire through the team’s participation in the Björn Borg Helsinki Marathon 2025 to fundraise for the Vantaa Shelter Association, a Finnish NGO active since 1978, that provides (free of charge) shelter, support and guidance to victims of domestic violence. 9/10 clients of the shelter are women, often with their young children.

All proceeds from donations go directly to the Vantaa Shelter Association and will be used to support their clients in difficult life situations, to provide accommodation, to prevent domestic and intimate partner violence, and to support advocacy and development work related to these activities.
